Challenge
The client went through a complicated structural change involving multiple countries, business lines and departments. The legacy system structure involved multiple technologies and approaches (e.g. some departments used Power BI, others Tableau for reporting) and the lack of reporting standards led to inaccurate insights and confusion between teams around the world.
Solution
Squery was tasked to help the transition with a team of Power BI, Tableau, and Snowfalke consultants. At the start, they had to establish the data model and different ETL pipelines. After consolidating the data from many sources the visual analysts created many Tableau and Power BI dashboards for management purposes.
Benefits
Upper management can access accurate data and KPIs. This way they can make effective and quick decisions by briefly looking at each dashboard. Also, multiple bottlenecks were discovered within the supply chain which can be improved now. The new reporting system helps to optimize the real cost of the products by considering the cost of logistics.
